Getting ready for some miniature nugget cuddle time! Not getting ready for labor so much but of course it's always worth it. Lots of talk of early delivery and getting nervous that I don't have things ready but it always works out and it'll all be ok, that's what I tell myself anyway. I picked out a 'going home' outfit and every time I see it hanging in the boys room it makes me smile...you just forget how small they are. Xander is such a big boy and it's surprising and breaking our hearts everyday. He's turned into a 2-year-old and we're all learning about discipline together, which isn't fun but will be worth it. X is already a pro at his big-boy-bed and we're hoping potty training is next, but we're not rushing into it. Ready for a baby-party (we've switched from baby-shower, since it's co-ed and we don't want the boys to be uncomfortable) on Saturday and hopefully some maternity pictures beforehand. Let's just hope we're still pregnant through the weekend, not that I'm planning on popping that early, seriously, I feel overwhelmed with things I'd like to get done pre-baby, not that it's much I just want the house clean!!
I saw this beanie at Target a couple months ago and didn't pick it up and regretted it because I couldn't find it after that. I kept looking at our local Target and just happened to go to the Super Target with my mom the other day and what do you know, they had it, and at 50% off! Yay for cheap finds! I love tiny nuggets in cool clothes.

Risk - noun. Exposure to the chance of injury or loss; a hazard or dangerous chance.

Just a couple pictures for the beginning of the week. Xander found our old camera and it's so cute looking at the pictures that he manages to take of himself. Most of them are blurry or black but the ones that turn out are adorable.

We had a friends birthday party over the weekend at a local pizza place, I didn't get any good pictures from it, sorry, but I got a couple shots of the little monkey stuffing his face with noodles and parmesan covered tomatoes. Caleb's really in charge of the camera and is much better about getting good shots, I'm sorry I dropped the ball on K2Forma's birthday bash.

We've also gotten really into board games the last couple of weeks and made it our mission today to learn how to play Risk, which was more of a mission than we had planned. That game has a lot of confusing rules, I'm sure we missed over half and confused the rest but it was still an adventure and I still had a good time with it, I'm glad I at least understand what's happening.

Now that Caleb is back in town with the computer I can get back to blogging. We went to Target and Trader Joe's today and probably spent too much money but how could I help going crazy over the cutest Valentine's Day stuff and all for only $2.50 each. I love the hearts and the red and the adorable owls. Something about those colors is really appealing to me, so I couldn't help but buy each piece they had to offer. My plan is to make heart-shaped brownies and give them out to neighbors and friends. Granted around Valentine's Day this year I will have two children, having just pushed one out, we'll see if the plan actually goes into effect, but I have the best intentions!

Spent last night celebrating a good friends birthday. Yerg's 34th started out at a local restaurant called Crepe Cellar, good food and even better desserts. We, as in my pregnant self and Caleb, ended the evening at Dolce Vita with the crew who ended up heading over to another bar, but you know me, beat by 11:30 and headed home. We're continuously reminding of the wonderful friends and family of which we are surrounded and love spending time with all of them. The holidays are always a reminder of those people in your life. Never take them for granted.

I got the best gift ever today. My hubby knows me too well. He found these gems at Ikea while shopping for dressers for our room. Our house is terribly insulated so my feet are usually freezing, even when I wear multiple socks. With these suckers on I don't feel a thing, it's amazing and very comfortable, of course, it's like wearing huge down blankets wrapped around your feet. What more could a woman want?
They are so amazing, they look like cartoon super hero boots.

Turn Over - verb. turn-ove-r, Turn over a new leaf : to make a change for the better especially in one's way of living.

New Years Eve!!! So, all the pictures uploaded in reverse, so you'll get to enjoy the night from the end to the beginning. Good thing I don't drink, you can't see any sort of deterioration in my behavior, although, take a look at Anna, you might see some slight attitude changes. We started our night at the local wine bar, our favorite spot in the 'hood, Dolce Vita for some sushi, wine and friends. It was a great time laughing and talking and eating. After Dolce we all headed over to meet up with more people at Yerg's house to finish out the end of the year. Again, more laughing and talking and snacking. It's nights like this that make you realize how lucky you are.

Homemaker - noun. home-mak-er, A person who manages the household of his or her own family, esp. as a principal occupation.

Thanks to extra time and Misha's Christmas present (photo printer, zing!) I finally finished my bedroom project to make it more family oriented and less like a blank slate. We finally painted over the bright orange and white, it gave the room a much warmer feel with our blue and brown but for a long time the walls just sat bare. I got a bunch of Ikea clip frames and the cutest material from there as well and just put some stuff together. Mom and Xander helped me lay the pattern and nail the walls. I just hung the picture frames before I had the rest of the pictures and there it sat for a month or two, but like I said, I finally finished and I'm super happy with the final product.
Xander grabbed his toy hammer to help hang pictures. The next two pictures were taken on my phone, sorry about the quality, or lack thereof.
Once I finished hanging, most of the frames sat empty for too long. I am a procrastinator.

A lazy rest of the week after Christmas, nice time with the family and hanging in the 'hood. This is just a short post with a couple pictures to take a couple minutes of your time. Not much to say other than the house should be being cleaned right now and instead I'm posting pictures of my adorable family online. Enjoy.
Xander and Papa's favorite local spot is Tasty-Yo, frozen yogurt with toppings of your choice. Xander HAD to have gummy bears on his so we made up for them with strawberries and kiwi, he liked it all.
