In no way does this post reflect my political leanings...so settle down...Anna.

Obama for your momma!

Presidential nominee Barack Obama was in Charlotte on Sunday just a couple miles from the house so we decided to take a walk uptown and check it out. We had a fun time, standing in line forever (I think it was about 3 blocks) and going through security, standing and being squished like cattle then deciding to go to the back. It was actually pretty fun and it was a great day, kinda cloudy and a nice breeze. Obama is a good speaker and easy to listen to and Xander loved crawling in the grass, so all-in-all it was a nice way to spend the morning/day.Getting ready to walk to Davidson and 4th! These kids were pretty awesome...I'm pretty sure they aren't even at legal drinking age and they were protesting the 're-legalization' of marijuana...Ha, silly children. There were other protesters on the other side of the block that we saw on the way out of the rally, they were the crazy ones, and it got pretty intense as the supporters were yelling 'Obama' and the protesters were yelling 'Noboma', really original...Anna!Xander Carl the security threat...Lots of people all trying to get to the front...This is the face I make when people start to push and get rude to one another. Everyone wanted up front and so people kept sneaking by and the old woman in front of me wasn't having it. Then another person around us passed out from the heat, that's when we decided it would be better for us to head to the back.We needed a park time-out and a wardrobe change. It was so nice in the back with the shade and the grass, and all the other people with children where back there with little kids running and playing all around us. Playing in the grass...He loves to walk! Soon he'll be doing it on his own!Our little family. Barack was speaking then, and if we could see through the trees then you could probably see him...I had to chase him around the grass, he wanted to talk to everyone he saw.And there he is...Caleb's a great photographer, I had to tip-toe just to see him, and I mostly just saw the white of his shirt. We thought this picture was appropriate. If you can't read the sign it says 'Federal Reserve Bank', lying in destruction. What a day! We were all worn out.

We went to an Obama rally in Virginia earlier this year and we got there too late and were in the overflow room of a big high school. Fortunately, he stopped by our room first to say hi and then went to the main room.

I think the first debate is coming up on Thursday or Friday night. May the best Obama win.

I am so nauseous. What exactly is wrong with you people? And there's a reason I wasn't original with "NObama." There are more sensible people out there than just me, Thank the Lord.
